this simplest method. Get OTP on mobile number.
Pre req is OTP is sent to Mobile number mentioned on Aadhar card. PAN must be linked with Aadhar card.
As NRI etc do not have Aadhar card, this method do not work for them
If PAN is linked with bank account and net banking is enabled for bank - one can use this to verify
Go to everify page. Select option through netbanking.
Click on continue
Select bank to verify thru netbanking
Pres continue on disclaimer
Select e verify option (under tax tab)
Pre validated and EVC-enabled bank account can use this
